[vc_row css_animation=”” row_type=”row” use_row_as_full_screen_section=”no” type=”full_width” angled_section=”no” text_align=”left” background_image_as_pattern=”without_pattern”][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”17134″ img_size=”full” qode_css_animation=””][vc_separator type=”transparent”][vc_column_text]26 Bees<\/em> took the start of Lyon \u00ab\u00a0Course des Lumi\u00e8res\u00a0\u00bb (litterally Run of Lights)<\/strong>, last November 16th, in spite of the very low 2\u00b0C that night\u2026<\/p>\n

What? You\u2019ve never heard of the “Course des Lumi\u00e8res”?<\/p>\n

The “Course des Lumi\u00e8res” includes four editions<\/strong>: Lyon, Marseille, Toulouse and Paris, respectively supported by Centre L\u00e9on B\u00e9rard, Fondation Toulouse Cancer Sant\u00e9, Institut Paoli-Calmettes and Institut Curie.<\/p>\n

It also includes 2 speeds (10 km running or 4 km walking),<\/strong> in the city center, with participants equipped with light signals to “light up the night against cancer”<\/strong>\u00a0who, after dark, start off to raise funds in order to support fight against this illness.<\/p>\n

Within 5 lyonnaise editions, the “Course des Lumi\u00e8res” and its luminous athletes enabled to collect donations close to 950\u00a0000 \u20ac to benefit Centre Leon Berard (Lyon) cancer research<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

A charity and sports project for a solidary mobilisation<\/strong> which we had taken to heart for a while\u2026 and to which we were quite proud of participating in! This year, close to 160\u00a0000 Euros will have been collected by the 3000 participants (1300 runners and 1700 walkers).<\/p>\n

Brave and dynamic, our two teams (running and walking) all made it to the finish line\u2026 and rather happy to catch a nice and warm tea!<\/strong><\/p>\n

(Big up<\/strong> to S\u00e9bastien Belmont and Jean Michard who, with a great sense of humour, had turned into “actual” bees for the occasion\u2026)<\/p>\n
